Historical area as a part of the Academic journal «Izvestiya of the Samara scientific center of RAS» has an archive since 2005 (see archive of the scientific area)..
Archive of the scientific area"Izvestia of the Samara Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Historical Sciences" Journal has been published since 2019. There are four major issues per year. The circulation is 200 copies.
"Izvestia of the Samara Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Historical Sciences "publishes articles in the following fields:
- 07.00.02 Russian history;
- 07.00.03 General history (relevant period);
- 07.00.06 Archaeology;
- 07.00.07 Ethnography, ethnology and anthropology;
- 07.00.09 Historiography, source studies and methods of historical research;
- 07.00.10 History of science and technology;
- 07.00.15 History of international relations and foreign policy.
The journal is registered by the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media (ROSKOMNADZOR). Registration number PI series No. FS77-76285 dated July 12, 2019.
Subscription
Since 2020 "Izvestia of the Samara Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Historical Sciences" has been included in the list of subscription publications of the "Rospechat" Agency.

You can subscribe at any post office for a half-year period (2 issues in the first half of the year and 2 in the second).
Articles in the journal are published free of charge.
The editors review manuscripts. Copies of reviews are provided to authors. Negative reviews are the basis for a motivated refusal to publish an article in the current issue.
Since 2020, the Samara Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences has been connected to the international journal system of bibliographic references Crossref, created specifically to work with publishers of scientific periodicals. The system is supposed to deal with the originals of articles, it monitors their originality, publisher’s imprint, and protects the copyright holder. DOI indices (what is DOI) can be assigned to new articles from the current issue at the layout stage, or to any article from previous issues stored in the archive on the website of the Samara Federal Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The DOI index registration time is 1-2 days.
Since 2020, DOI indices have been assigned to all articles without exception.
Articles are published strictly in compliance with the requirements for the design of scientific articles.
The requirements for the preparation of articles are the same for all issues.
For the manuscript to be accepted for publishing a number of documents should be provided:
- a referral from the organization (on letterhead) signed by its head, or deputy head;
- an extract from the department meeting minutes (if there is a department), with recommendation for publishing a sample extract;
- information about each author in the form of a questionnaire sample of the author's questionnaire.
